Changing cycle on Evorel Sequi

Hi all,
I am due to go on a lovely 3 week trip in the summer for my 25th Anniversary. I am on Evorel sequi and my period is due in the first week we are away. I bleed for 8 days then have thrush afterwards generally so I’d rather not bleed. Norestistone seems to be only up till 17 days so my question is, can I bring my withdrawal bleed forward by missing out a week of oestrogen patches then add these onto the proceeding ‘month’ so I bleed later???? Any thoughts?????

i was recommended to go on the pill for a few months.
For me, sequi isn't strong enough to override my natural cycle and norethisterone for weeks on end would be a pain

I’d switch it up now and get into a new cycle to see if it works before relying on it. My natural cycle is all over the shop, so sometimes I get a bleed when I swap to the combi patch, sometimes it’s at a random time in the month (which I presume is my natural period breaking through) so maybe as pp days if you’re still having your own reasonably regular periods the change of patch may not affect it.

You can just not use the patches with the Norethisterone and carry on using estrogen only until later. So that means expending the cycle to maybe 5 or 6 weeks.

ALL your patches have estrogen- it's the 2nd half of the cycle that have BOTH hormones.

So on whatever day you'd normally use the patches with both hormones, skip those, go to a next lot and start using estrogen-only ones. Start the combined patches either on holiday or as soon as you come back.

It's perfectly fine to do this. Some women (under private consultants) have 2-monthly cycles anyway and there is a form of HRT - Tridestra- which is a 3 month cycle.

this is helpful to me as I just posted a very similar question. But on your advice here: why would you continue taking the 50/ estrogen only patches until the holiday is* *over? As I thought it was the norethisterone which stopped your bleed, so wouldn’t you want to use the patches with that in (the combined patches) for the duration of your holiday? Thank you so much for any advice.
