I'm 50, and definitely menopausal. Had a hysterectomy about 6 years ago and my hormones have been on a downward track ever since. Bit of a battle with the GP for HRT but started on patches in January and feel a lot better for it. Just 25 mcg oestrogen - I don't need progesterone as I have no uterus.
My teeth... my teeth feel so bad. I have not had dental issues in the past. Couple of fillings. Pretty good oral health and no major problems. Haven't been able to see my dentist regularly during the pandemic as they were emergencies only and it was impossible to get through the door. Have an appointment booked for next week though. The dentist is for sure going to have a real go at me. My teeth and gums feel sore and achy. My gums bleed (not much) however well I brush and however much mouthwash or floss I use. Is this another menopause thing?
I have contacted the GP and asked for an increase of dose from 25 to 50 as I do feel better, but not completely there.
