Oestrogel & Utrogestan for Brainfog and Libido

I just started on Oestrogel and Utrogestan today and when Davina put it on she just smoothed it into the back of her hand. Mine's gone right past my elbow and still not absorbed and that's just 1 of 2 pumps. The cat keeps trying to lick my arms now too. Where do you apply it?

Second question, I'm literally Dory from Finding Nemo since my periods ended 14 months ago. I was peri for the 2 years before that. Has this Utrogestan/slimeygel combo alone helped with Brainfog and libido for anyone?

Have I left it too late? I kinda soldiered on because it was bearable with the occasional hot flush, but they're like every hour now, and all night....and I'm going to bed early, getting 11 hours sleep and still look like a bag of smashed crabs in the morning because I'm waking 10 times a night in a sweat or freezing.

Oh bloody hell! Davina wasn't really applying it! It was just an example to show what gel looks like (sorry that's not aimed at you, it was a silly thing for her to do!)

Read the leaflet in the pack :) It says you apply it either to your inner thighs (both of them) or your upper arms (both of them.) Allow to dry, do not shower afterwards or swim etc for an hour. Do not allow close contact skin to skin with anyone (where it's been applied) for a hour.
Do not use body lotion before applying.

Good luck!

I use 2 pumps, one each on my inner thighs. There is quite a lot in a pump!

Hopefully those will sort out lots of your menopause symptoms.

My GP told me to return after 3 mo ths for a review and said at that point we’d discuss if libido was improved - it is for some on HRT but many need testosterone too. NICE guidelines say it should be considered for women who have tried HRT and libido hasn’t been improved. Some will refer you to a specialist menopause clinic and others will just do it themselves. All testosterone on NHS is off-licence at the moment, but widely used.

Anyway hope the HRT sports out all your symptoms, but if it doesn’t quite deal with everything and it’s libido that remains poor, there is another thing to consider.

Ah thanks so much. What a barmpot I was thinking my hand would absorb that lake of gel. My skins a bit dry but not that bad. Thank you for the reasurance and directions where to go next, if these aren't enough!
