Urge incontinence - Vagirux

Has anyone got experience of Vagirux for urge incontinence? Most of the stuff I’ve read refers to it as a treatment to help with vaginal atrophy. GP did not mention VA at all, I was discussing how I seemed to have little control over bladder since stopping sequential HRT. Incidentally, I stopped as I wasn’t having bleed despite being sequential and I noticed terrible cyclical mood swings.

Not sure what you are asking :)
Are you using it or are you hoping it might help and want to get it?

It's one of the newer types and most women use Ovestin or Vagifem which are the same more or less.

Topical estrogen does help urgency so it's worth trying. They are now changing the name VA to GUS genito-urinary syndrome- as it covers all vaginal and bladder conditions that can arise during menopause. And the atrophy affects the bladder and its muscles, not just the vagina.

You say you have stopped sequential hrt. Does that mean you are not on any or your have swapped to continuous?

There is some evidence that continuous can have a side effect of making incontinence worse in some women.

I stopped sequential and have literally just started continuous. Vagirux has now been added to my ongoing regular prescription. However, it gets worse, I had a consultation with a women’s health physio yesterday as I kept reading that incontinence of any sort is not normal and they can help. Turns out I have mild prolapse. I will have to start a new thread on this as I ignorantly thought this only affected much older women.
I haven’t been myself since appointment, still processing what this could mean for me.

Prolapse is very common and in younger women. I had surgery in my late 30s. It can happen after all kinds of deliveries and is also 'just' a result of pregnancy.

You need someone to sort out what's going on.

Urge incontinence is usually caused by loss of hormones in women in their 40s+
It's also sometimes called overactive bladder and there are drugs that can help (from your GP.) But usually, estrogen will help if it's caused by loss of hormones.

Prolapse doesn't cause urge incontinence. It can in some women cause stress incontinence- when the pelvic floor is under pressure by running, lifting, coughing etc. Physio can help that by strengthening the muscles but it won't help urge incontinence.
