I’m kind of at my wits end right now, signed off work and feeling the lowest I have ever been and I am sure my hormones are to blame.

I am 49 and have been having issues since my mid 40’s.

I have a thickened uterine lining and polyps which are recurring (I have them removed and they grow back). The heavy bleeding has resulted in very low iron stores (ferritin is 3) and I have had to have infusions. Feeling like crap right now is an understatement.
I am on a waiting list for an ablation and have been told my polyps and thickened lining is probably due to low progesterone.

I have awful pms which I never suffered from before, terrible daily digestive issues, absolutely no libido and vaginal dryness, anxiety through the roof, depression and low mood, rages which come from nowhere, aura migraines during every period which I never had several years ago, dry/itchy skin, painful ovulation (or around that time), bloating especially around mid cycle, broken sleep most nights. The list goes on........obviously some of this could be due to the anaemia but that in itself is as a direct result of the periods issues so kind of connected.

I have spoken to almost all the GPs at my surgery and they all say I am not in yet Perimenopause as I still have regular periods (even though they are a bloodbath because of the above) and no regular hot flushes. I have so many other symptoms but they ignore those. As far as they are concerned peri = irregular or no periods and hot flushes (I am freezing all the time due to the anaemia).
I know I should go to the GP with a print off of the NICE guidelines but they are still not seeing people face to face and I’ve had enough of them tbh, endless telephone calls and me bawling my eyes out with the frustration of it all only to be given yet another prescription for an antidepressant. I don’t want bloody antidepressants ffs!

I am on the waiting list for the Newson clinic but am wondering if it’s just as well (and cheaper?) seeing someone local or someone else further away if I could have a zoom consultation.
Can anyone recommend anyone or is the Newson clinic the best menopause clinic in the U.K.?
