I am 43 and I think i may be a bit perimenopausal. My main symptom now is feeling randomly tearful even though i have a lovely dp, dd, house and job. Is it in fact a symptom or something else?

Excessive emotional reactions were absolutely a symptom for me. They came later than others (I had no clue night sweats are a symptom and had them for years before seeking help) but the mood swings finally drove me to do some research and on to the doctor.

I've got exactly this at the moment. I'm 50 and perimenopausal but don't have much in the way of physical symptoms yet. I'm not normally a very emotional person, and normally tend towards anxiety if anything, rather than depression or sadness, but I keep having waves of sadness where I feel like I could cry. I'm not a crier - I can't remember the last time I actually cried!
