Is this normal? Regular periods then 14 days late and counting?

I'm 50. I've had heavier and slightly longer periods over the last couple of years, some digestive issues and sporadically rubbish sleep. But no hot flushes or other common perimenopause symptoms, and my periods have been regular as clockwork. Suddenly I'm 14 days late (so far). Anyone know if it's common to go suddenly from regular to no period or to skipping one? I'd kind of assumed they'd start by varying by a day or so! Thanks.

It is common
I used to be bang on 28 days. Then 2 years of 21/22 days. Then suddenly have gone 6-7 weeks apart for the last 6 months.
I'm nearly 50

Yes, very normal. In my mid-40s mine went from every 28 days to being every three weeks, or six weeks or missing one altogether. I got fed up with it as the unpredictability was affecting my quality of life, saw my GP and got a Mirena coil fitted at 46. I'm postmenopausal now at 57 and never had another period after I got the Mirena. Such a relief!

Mine have gone weird - I'm 49 and have been on HRT for four years. They are either on a 36 day cycle or a 24 day cycle - my half-joking theory is that one ovary is slowing down and one is speeding up. It's not the end of the world but it does make life unpredictable and my white jeans have been retired until after it all stops...

Thanks everyone. Sorry - I've been without wifi for a while and didn't see responses!
