Ring pessery stuck

Help ! I’ve got a very weak bladder and been under Gyny for several years, have been on lots of meds but nothing controls me wetting myself.
I’ve been using a contiform pessery for about 5 months and had good results ,only downside is you have to reinsert every day . Saw Gyny last week and asked about a more permanent pessery and was fitted with a ring device that can stay in for about 6 months at a time . This was a big mistake as totally useless for me , I’ve tried getting it out but it is totally out of my reach . Been trying to get a Drs app but not sure when that will be . I’ve tried every position possible ( not a pretty site) .
Any advice welcome ,have even thought about using a crochet hook 😬.
Thank you

Can you contact the gynaecologist secretary and request an urgent appointment for removal?

What is the issue with the Drs- can you not get through to book or are they not giving you an appointment? We only have one GP at our practice that fits/removes them but they would book you a same day telephone consultation with her and she would phone you & book to see you same day in your situation. So sorry you are struggling but please don’t stick anything up there to fish it out! I hope you get sorted soon Flowers

Thanks for reply ,phoned Drs today but not taking any apps unless urgent as waiting on government guild lines on wether to do mass vaccine in surgery,I’ll try again tomorrow. Will try Gyny but waiting lists are long to see them .

All sorted , after having stomach pains and bloating my OH was a hero and got it out for me yay !! feel so much better, have returned to using contiform pessery as i know it works for me ,just a pain inserting it daily . Thankfully NHS provide this service (ive got prepaid) as they are about £50 a time .
i will eventually have to have op but keep putting it off .

I used to have to use a crichet hook as a matter of course. Eventually I bought thin pure silk ribbon and looped it through doubled up in advance, like a tampon string. If you do that, do not be tempted by pretty colours - I started off using emerald green and the dye wasn't fast....

Great advice ,contiform come with a silicon ribbon which I managed to break 😬 had the same sinario when hubby had to scoop it out 🤷‍♀️ so now put on 2 but the silk ribbon sounds as if it maybe stronger .
