Kyleena or Mirena in perimenopause?

My GP has suggested I get a mirena coil and estrogen to deal with peri symptoms. She's referred me to sexual health clinic and I've got an appointment in a fortnight. I am very nervous and may yet chicken out.
The clinic said they offer either Kyleena or Mirena. I've looked Kyleena up and it's a tiny bit smaller and lower dose progesterone. Does anyone have any experience of it? I can't find any reference to the Kyleena on websites about menopause.

Oh wow that's shocking, how can it be deemed ethical to force a female to remain on a contraceptive that doesn't suit them. I'm in Ireland, my own gp doesn't insert mirena but he refers you to another practice with a female gp who does. I've always been told that the practice nurse will remove them if I require to have it out but don't want another inserted.

That's really shocking.

I've never had a problem with mirena removal, don't bother with GPs, give your local sexual health clinic a ring and they will remove it no questions asked and because they do them all the time they are far more competent.
