Random cramping pains pelvic area

kissmelittleass · 03/09/2021 22:36

Came on last night and lasted 2-3 hours I could of cried they were quite painful, cramping would last maybe 30 seconds or more then ease off and come back again a few minutes later.
No cramping since but when I was in labour for some reason I always got cramping in the pelvic area and the cramping felt just like that!
No period for nearly five years but I did have on and off bleeding/spotting after my last period for a year or so after but no spotting for at least 2-3 years now.
What would of caused this as a one off I'm hoping it doesn't happen again.
Smear last September was clear, anyone else experienced this?

I would get it checked out just to be safe

Hi OP

I had this a few months back. It really hurt and I got myself into such a state I ended up in a&e. They sent me away and told me to get my GP to refer me for a pelvic ultrasound scan. They didn't find anything and touch wood I've not had it since. I was beside myself with worry (I suffer from health anxiety).

If you're anything like me (I hope you're not) you will be freaked out by people on the internet suggesting what it might be. I'd go to the GP and ask them to refer you for a scan x

@Unusualusernames Thank you for your kind reply I will try and get an appointment with the doctor to ease my mind, I did havens pelvic ultrasound a year ago for different issues and it showed fluid in the pouch of Douglas which is normal I'm told and it has been seen before on previous scans with no cause of concern.
I also had thicken uterine lining but the biopsies were normal but I'm still worried.

I should add that since I wrote original post it has happened again so has happened twice now.

Oh poor you. I was very freaked out. It's so hard to know what's normal and what's not. It sounds like you've had a tough time of it. I think getting it checked out sounds like the best thing to do xx
