shakes fist grrr
so just as I was thinking, at age 48, that I was going to get to menopause without too many hitches, I got hit sideways by a menstrual migraine this month
I haven't had them for decades - used to get them when younger. I've had an ablation so thankfully my periods are no longer heavy.
I have a completely unsympathetic GP who, when I went when younger, told me they couldn't possibly be menstrual migraines and were obviously headaches from taking too many painkillers. I hate taking pills so it really wasn't that but luckily for me I spoke to someone at the migraine trust and kept a diary and it was v clear they were menstrual migraines. I never went back to the GP!
does anyone have any tips? Mine are worse if I don't eat regularly, usually last about 3-4 days then totally bugger off but I am not sure if I can cope with this every month.
I'm unlikely to be prescribed hormonal treatment - I have ordered some magnesium as I understand there is some benefit to taking this.
