Is this perimenopause?

I have been having hot flushes mainly in the evening and night, I have vaginal dryness and sore breasts. The GP did some blood tests but I haven't been able to discuss the results yet. I have a Mirena coil and PCOS.
Do these blood results 'mean' anything?
Plasma oestradiol 189pmol/l
Plasma LH 5.1iu/L
FSH 7.0iu/L
Because of the coil i have no periods so don't know where I am in my cycle.

Going on symptoms alone..which is how I believe drs diagnosis it I would say to peri. I have always understood that bloods are unreliable to confirm peri due to the fluctuations in hormones.

Obviously I am not a HCP!

Blood tests are not used to diagnose peri-menopause because they are unreliable. Your diagnosis is based on your symptoms, and you definitely have several of them.

If you’re over 45 the guidelines are not to do blood tests.

www.nice.org.uk/guidance/ng23/chapter/Recommendations

Your symptoms do sound like peri menopause.

1.3.2 Explain to women that as well as a change in their menstrual cycle they may experience a variety of symptoms associated with menopause, including:

vasomotor symptoms (for example, hot flushes and sweats)

musculoskeletal symptoms (for example, joint and muscle pain)

effects on mood (for example, low mood)

urogenital symptoms (for example, vaginal dryness)

sexual difficulties (for example, low sexual desire).

Reason why the guidance is not to do tests
In otherwise healthy women over 45, is that perimenopause and menopause can be diagnosed based on clinical history alone. In this age group, laboratory tests, particularly follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), do not help with the diagnosis because hormone levels fluctuate during the perimenopause.

Thank you for your thoughts. I am 39. I contacted the surgery and the receptionist said that the oestrogen level were only a bit out so the GP had put 'no further action' in the comments. I have completed another e-consult and have been given a telephone appointment for 2 weeks time so will hopefully have more luck then!
