Oestrogel & Uterogestan

I have just had a call from my local meno clinic after a referral from my GP. They have agreed to prescribe above combination. I asked about using the Uterogestan vaginally in the hope that this reduces any potential symptoms (biggest worry for me is anxiety/depression symptoms). Can I ask any ladies that use this method if they have any associated anxiety/depression? The lady at the clinic did not think this was a good approach as there is no guarantee it’s reaching where it’s supposed to! Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Flowers

@Cakey46 when I first started Utrogestan years ago, I was given 200mcgs capsules in the 'High St' pharmacy but with no applicator.
Then after a few years, the default product was 100mgs and I was asked if ( as it was a private prescription) if I'd accept 2 x 100mcgs.
At the private clinic where I see my gynae, there is no problem getting the 200mcgs, with an applicator as they are also stocking it for fertility.

However, it's more than twice the cost of the 100mgs! It's very expensive per capsule. I suspect that is why on the NHS, they order the 100mcgs.

I am also not keen on the applicator and have a lot unused. sometimes, the capsule doesn't come out of it when you press the plunger, so you have to take it out and use your fingers anyway.

Completely agree @jinglinghellsbells waaay to many applicators. Quick rinse under the tap and it is recycled 😬 but then I am a moon cup woman.
