As you are getting medical help I'm not sure what this forum can offer you other than hoping the outcome is a good one. I would push for a quicker test though - a GP is not an expert in this field and if you had a biopsy some months ago this is an ongoing issue.

Presumably when you say post menopausal, you had not had a period for at least 12 months when you had your first scan in April? so that would be April 2019 or earlier when you last had a normal period.

If you are having ongoing bleeding like this it actually sounds as if you are not post menopause.

If you had a biopsy in April, and it was clear, it's highly unlikely that you have uterine cancer which is what the scan and biospy looks for, as it doesn't develop in 6 months.

Thank you my scan is a six month check up to see if the ovarian cysts have got bigger

also this bleeding isn't on and off its like a proper period going on all these weeks I asked gp the other day if its OK to lose all this blood until the scan and ge said yes hes presuming its thinning of the lining

How old are you?

JinglingHellsBells · 30/09/2020 12:42

But are you actually post menopausal? Your heading says it's about post meno bleeding, not your ovarian cyst, so a bit confused. :)
