Sex after the menopause

I've recently started to suffer vaginal dryness & itchiness which I've bought cream for.
Im not finding sex painful at all but climaxing seems to be a thing of the past, despite my partners best efforts. I'm only 52 so that's not good. I've ordered some lube... was really unsure what to buy so hopefully it's OK.
I've read that using a vibrator regularly can help bring back feeling, but I live with adult son & teen daughter & I'm never in alone (thinking noise of vibrator).
Does anyone have any tips? How have others managed the changes menopause can bring to your sex life?

Vagifem is the word I hear bandied about for this . It's on prescription. And also the phrase "Use it or lose it"

Sylk uses natural ingredients and is available on prescription. It saved my dwindling sex life after not being compatible with hormone based lubricants. You should be able to get a free sample from their website.

Ultimately HRT resolves all those issues but I know not everyone is a fan.
Agree with use it or lose it!

@HelpIcantfindaname Over the counter lubes can help a bit but they don't change the vaginal cells to how they were pre-meno. The dryness can get worse over time and once it gets to a certain stage it's harder to reverse. Good book- My Menopausal Vagina by Jane Lewis.

Ovestin and Vagifem are prescription only cream/ small tablet to put in the vagina. They are very very weak ( using it for a year = one day's dose of HRT) so don't have side effects.

50% of women have these issues ( and probably more but they don't seek help.)

Worth asking your GP?

Thank you for replies. I was on HRT till March so that explains why it's got worse lately. A visit to the doctor sounds like what I need next.
