Well say before hence again couple of questions:-)

I can slap a patch on (finally) as day 1 of cycle has arrived so I am going to do tomorrow as I have a 30/31 day cycle.

So in you experience how long did it take until you noticed:-

A) a reduction in hot flushes? (Please say instantly)

B) a reduction in feeling loopy-loo? (Again instant would be good)

And C) if you libido had suddenly sky-rocketed I am hoping that that bit stays the same.

It is daunting and exciting all at the same time today.

Plus we are going on holiday so will be trapped in a holiday home during the first week! What fun

When I started HRT I found the hot flushes and physical symptoms stopped very soon within a few days, the rest took a bit longer. The menopause is a multiple assault on the system, I'm not sure I ever really recovered and it's been 10 years.

Probably not instantly no, but by this time next month you should be starting to feel more like your old self!

BillieEilish · 14/08/2020 09:44

About 3 weeks for me... good luck

So I'll pencil in early September! Smile

I've only been given 3 months supply without a repeat but am presuming I can just phone up for more

One more question, well actually probably not but for the time being, does your hair resume glossiness?

Yes - you need to call up - this is so they can check in with you regularly and make sure it's helping. Some women need to try a few different types before they find one that works for them and is helping to combat the symptoms they're struggling with. I started on an oestrogen gel in December. Within 48 hours I noticed that the joint aches and pains I'd had since my late 30s were gone and within a few weeks I noticed either a diminishing or total disappearance of other symptoms I'd been struggling with. My libido returned to normal within about a month, I'd say. Good luck!

Re: hair. I can't speak for 'glossiness', but I've noticed that mine has got thicker, less coarse and just looks fuller and better. It took probably 4-6 months for me to notice an improvement.

I will call after a month unless of course everything gets worse beforehand!

Less coarse is a better expression Smile
