Testosterone?

Hi everyone
I have had a total abdominal hysterectomy and both ovaries and cervix removed also. I have been on oestrogen gel (sandrena) ever since (couldn't get on with patches). I have recently read that testosterone is important too. Why? It's a male hormone! What does it do? Any experience or advice appreciated.

Hi, I am menopausal yet but not far off. However my libido is awful, I was hoping to buy testosterone gel online but I am struggling. Has any got any recommendations of where I can purchase this from. Thanks xc

GP’s can prescribe testosterone for low libido, it’s off licence but it can still be prescribed.

Can anyone who's been using it give any idea of how long it took to have any effects - I've only been using a few weeks and am quite impatient! 😂

I wonder if anyone can offer me any hope? I have no libido. I mean, barely any sensation from the waist down.... I'm on 3 pumps of Estrogel and cyclical Utrogestan tablets (1 in the evening 12 days per cycle) and in addition I've been on testosterone (1/8th sachet Testogel per day) for 2 months. Does the testosterone just take longer to work? Or might I need a higher dose? Or do just give up on any hope of a sex life ever again? :(

I've read they suggest to give it up to 6 months for testosterone to work

I hope so @WarriorN . It's putting a real strain on my marriage....
