@HelpIcantfindaname Sorry you are worried. I thought it was protocol for you to receive a copy of any letters from a consultant which they sent to your GP? You ought not to be left out of the communication chain!
I'm not a dr BUT it sounds to me as if the bleeding you are having is your own cycles possibly and you are not really quite post menopause yet.
Bit unclear of the timelines from your first post, but it looks as if you had some bleeding at first in less than or around a year after your previous period? (Summer 2018 then summer 2019?) And at the time of the 2nd you were on HRT?
Has your consultant discussed this with you after your appt or have you not have any letters with their thoughts/ diagnosis? You ought to.
Also, the Mirena thins the lining, not makes it thick.
HRT builds the lining up but the Mirena balances out the growth of it.
I think if I were you, I'd ask the GP for a full account of what the consultant said, or contact them directly and ask for the paperwork with your case. It's not good you are in the dark.
Also, your own GP is very unlikely to find anything by doing an internal exam- it needs a scan, or a specialist to feel for anything like a fibroid which may a) grow and b) cause bleeding.
Maybe ask a few more questions at your appt?
