I posted last week about me not stopping bleeding after a period that was a week late.

It's been 3 weeks now and I am still bleeding. It's still not particularly heavy but some days its heavy spotting. Yesterday i thought it had finally stopped but today it's a lot heavier. The blood ranges from dark brown to red.

I had a small polyp removed last december and a TV scan which showed no particular other problems and last wed i went to the doctors and saw i think was a nurse who refused to refer me and said anything dodgy would have been picked up in my scan. she just put it down to the start of peri menopause, I am just 43. She felt my tummy and looked at my cervix and declared it fine. Where do I go now?I'm so fed up
I've been told all scan have been cancelled and there would be no point of referral.

I'm so worried

Go private, that's what I did. I also started peri at 43, had bleeding for nearly 3 months, and multiple gp's were completely useless as is usually the case when it comes to peri and menopause. They are so ill informed it's ridiculous. You should probably be on HRT which is very important, especially when your peri starts on the slightly younger side.

I cant afford to go private :(

Honestly the doc or nurse was so reluctant to refer me again but I just no when something is wrong. I do have a copper coil fitted but I've had no real issues with it but she said oh its probably that too.

Didnt give me any clue on what I should do, or how to deal with it just told me it was common.

I had a similar experience with my gp this week on the phone, very dismissive of what's going on with me

Take a look at this website, I've just watched one of her videos on peri, very informative
