Wrong advice from pharmacist?

My pharmacy was unable to dispense the full amount of my Elleste Duet 2mg prescription.
Pharmacist advised me to ask GP to prescribe Elleste Duet 1mg tablets, and to take two of them.
But wouldn't this mean that I'm having a double dose of progestogen when I get to that place in the pack?
The norethisterone component is 1mg in both the Elleste Duet 2mg and 1mg tablets.

Yes you are right.

The only way round it would be to take 2 x the estrogen only tablets for half the month and one estrogen/progesterone for the rest of the month.

Not sure how this would affect your supply though as you would need 2 packs per month not one.

maybe stick with the 1mg and see how that feels? You might not notice any difference.

Thank you.
If there's one thing I've learned reading the MN HRT threads, it's that many GPs and pharmacists can't be relied upon for accurate information and advice regarding a pretty basic subject.
Women have to think for themselves.
