I swopped from Everol 50 to these pills one month ago.
Admittedly I've had some workplace issues and my marriage isn't great.
I don't know if these pills have made me depressed.
Sometimes I feel more chilled and slowed down.Today I look dead behind the eyes iyswim? Thanks in advance.

Evorel 50 is oestrogen and utrogestan is progesterone, do you mean you're only taking progesterone with no oestrogen?

No everol is oestrogen and norethiserone I'm on eostrogel and utrogestan.Normally the norethiserone is blamed for low mood though I seemed ok on that.

Evorel 50 is just oestrogen I know I'm on it, evorel sequi and evorel conti are oestrogen and progesterone. You didn't mention gel in your OP.
Progesterone is known as the sleepy drug so that is what is making you feel low and slow, a lot of women get around this by using the utrogestan vaginally instead of orally.

Utrogestan won't cause depression but it can make you feel a bit dopey and perhaps a bit like PMS but it should disappear when you stop on each cycle.
If you are using it daily and feeling moody and low, think about changing to 12 days a month instead. That's do-able to a lot of women.

That's right. 200mgs a day for 12 days from mid cycle to end. It's on the leaflet.

Some women who react badly to any progesterone are allowed by consultants to use less- maybe only 10 days- or to extend the estrogen only weeks (I do) and have a longer cycle. You shouldn't do this without medical advice and supervision from a consultant and many in the NHS have to work exactly within prescribing rules.

Yes it most certainly can and affects millions of women with progesterone intolerances. It even says on the leaflet. I went from a happy person into a black depression when using uterogestan and had to be immediately switched onto SLYND.
