Crap hair ...

I am well over 50 with very little grey hair- I am blonde apparently but was a ginger as a young woman/ child. I don't dye it and I don't dry it very often with a hairdryer. I am very much a wash n go type of person.
I always had greasy hair...needed washing every day but now...it is dry and brittle and straw like. It's horrible. I can feel it sucking up water as I wash it...I use a cheapish supermarket own shampoo and conditioner for dry hair but it's not making any difference.

What can I use? I need something cheapish and simple to do.

My hair used to be my crowning glory, it is naturally poker straight and just past my shoulders. The hair on my chin is less dry...I am on HRT and I am on thyroxine but my levels are ok.
Can anyone help?

Thank you

My greasy, usually sleek with a slight wave, hair recently went very dry and frizzy and my slight wave turned into an uncontrollable mess recently. I tried a keraplex treatment and it was life-changing.

If you can't afford that I'd ditch the cheap conditioner and use something super moisturising like Redken anti-snap or all soft. Tigi have a nice one too, called recovery. That's what I'm using atm and it's done my curly haired, frizz prone daughter's hair the world of good. I personally can't vouch for it on my hair type as the keraplex treatment is still on it. Maria Nila True Soft argon oil is brill too. As is Osmo leave-in deep moisture conditioning spray but Keraplex is literal magic in a bottle.
