Megs Menopause - Accurate info.?

I'm curious as to what people think of the information coming from this. It keeps on coming up on my Facebook page and some of it seems to be inaccurate. I'm all in favour of talking more about the menopause but peddling inaccurate information is dangerous.

I’ve only had a quick look at it, but my impression was that it was trite, and not particularly useful. It comes across as aimed at the Instagram tribe.

I’d always recommend Menopause Matters. It may not be as glossy but it’s reliable.

What did you see that you thought was dangerous?

... That seems rich judgement when there's regular proclamations on this board that trained professionals (GPs) are shamefully ignorant and never give out good advice (unless it's a prescription for HRT in which case they are among the enlightened after all).

Anyway, this made me laugh. I gather there might be some recommendations for CBD, too, which is probably enormously unproven but not necessarily dangerous.

My GP recommended I had a look at Menopause Matters.

Although tbh I am probably being a bit snooty and if Meg’s website makes talking about the menopause more accessible and includes a bit of ahem fun and getting to know your own body, that’s good.

Today's post - Worst bit of advice - eat lots of Soya products.

Why is that bad advice? It works for some. Admittedly the results of several trials have been very mixed and it doesn't appear to have been as beneficial as previously thought. Plus the comment that it's not even the right sort of soy?
What is the right sort of soy?
Isn't yoghurt fermented?
It's sound bite information that some impressionable women may take as fact.
There was another post earlier this week on vaginal atrophy that was downright wrong. But it appears to have been rewritten, as I've gone back and checked. It was extolling the virtues of laser treatment over low dose oestrogen therapy .

Meg has no medical qualifications and I don't know if she writes her posts/ content herself or pays someone to do it. Better to read medical sites like menopause matters or the site by Dr Louise Newson, or some books by meno consultants.

Is this Meg Matthew's? Ex of Oasis? I saw Meg flogging some beauty care stuff I Tescos a few weeks ago.
I think Monetize Your Menopause might be a fairer description. If you her then, carry on.
If her.
I am not sure what qualifies her above any of the rest if us amateurs to confidently advise in this topic. Yes. I am having a menopause and working without as I go along with friends and professionals. It's good to have resources but the quality of them also matters.

Hah. Yes, exactly.

I think that’s correct@AwkwardSquad. She’s selling a range of intimate moisturisers and washes. Unfortunately she is also being wheeled out on tv a lot at the moment. Whatever she says will be believed .
