must stress I'm at the "thinking about the issue" stage and not the "I'm about to do this based on the thoughts of the sprites in my computer" Grin.

I'm on my third month of HRT (Evorel Sequi) and am really not enjoying the progesterone phase - all my brain fog/aching joints/lack of enthusiasm for anything comes back. During the oestrogen phase I'm a completely different person, I love my oestrogen patches.

Now, I know the progesterone is needed to keep the uterus lining thin, reducing the risk of endometrial cancer and the like. But, if you're not having periods (due to say PCOS), you need to induce a bleed four times a year, which is enough to sort out the uterus lining thin.

So, what would be the issues if I were to only take progesterone every three cycles? I'd have four bleeds a year, as recommended, and I'd not have the return of my symptoms every two weeks.

I'm changing to estraderm patches plus utrogestan next week (due to evorel unavailability) so its possible the utrogestan might suit me better, but if it doesn't, have I come up with a great idea, or a supremely stupid one?
