How long does HRT take to kick in?

I’ve just started on Evorel Sequi patches and after yet another sleepless, sweaty night I’m wondering how long they take to start working? I’ve literally only just changed my first patch so it’s mot even been a week so I know I’m being very impatient Blush but I just want to have an idea of when I can expect my temperature control system to be functioning again Hmm

Drs say you need to wait 3 months to see how it feels.

Think of it this way- it takes years for peri to kick in gradually, so HRT is not like taking an aspirin. The estrogen levels need to build up in your system again.

I felt a lot better after 2-3 weeks.

My night sweats etc were reduced after about 4 weeks - hang in there, it does get better.
Other symptoms took more like 6 months to reduce but I don't know if that's normal.

Almost immediately but I started to feel normal after about 6 months.

Can’t wait!! Thanks, at least that gives me a reasonable timeframe (although I’m not sure if I’d recognise feeling ‘normal’ any more ....Hmm)

It took about a month for me to realise that I didn't feel as bad as I had. After 3 months I felt notably different. Far more energy, far less joint pain. I also reviewed my diet and now take a few supplements daily including a probiotic which has really helped reduce the bloating.

Hi

I've just been prescribed these. The GP was reluctant to prescribe anything as I don't have hot flushes or night sweats.

Has anyone found they help with lethargy, light-headedness and brain fog. I'm hoping to regain some energy and focus.

Sorry - just noticed Namaste mentioned energy. That's good to hear

Night sweats were gone in a week or so, but I've spent 7 months tweaking (increasing!) my oestrogen levels, feeling slowly more like me all the time. The night sweats were the key for me, I needed rid of them.
