Foot Pain

I have got plantar facilitis. I am not on HRT. I started getting hot flushes in March but when I started taking a suite of supplements regularly they stopped. (I had been taking these anyway for general health but was a bit stop start with them but when I took them religiously the flushes went.)

In the last few weeks the flushes have returned but now I have this foot pain in my heel as well. I think I have had a ramping up on peri symptoms. I can just about deal with the flushes but is there anything supplement wise I can take for the foot pain. The pain is worse when first getting up out of bed or when I have been sitting down for a while.

Anyone else had this and do you have it for the duration of your peri or can it go away without HRT?

Maybe you need to see a foot specialist to find out what's going on with your heel.
It doesn't sound like a meno symptom.

Sarcelle I have exactly the same. Along with leg cramps. It sucks. I'm hating perimenopause.

Yep I had it chronically for about 3 years. Ligaments etc dry up with menopause causing joint, muscle ligament pain.
Also can be linked to under active thyroid and getting medication for this helped enormously (although had to go private as GP’s have ridiculous guidelines to work with)

PF is awful. I have suffered with it too. Saw a podiatrist under the NHS as I have a chronic health condition.

1 Her advice was to do stretching exercises, if you google PF exercises you should find them.

2 foot wear needs to be supportive the best shoes to wear are lace up trainers, with an inserted arch support.

3 the worst shoes you can wear to aggravate PF is low cut at the front ballet pumps, flip flops etc.

I hope it improves soon OP. You will need to be patient as it has taken me 7 mths for the PF to calm down. I wouldn’t dream of not wearing the inserts as I know I would be back to square one very quickly.

The ones I was measured for are called Simplex. I would recommend them, but you need to see a podiatrist to be fitted with the correct type. My PF has caused the arch to drop and my left foot to roll over, so I would recommend seeing a podiatrist ASAP, if you haven’t done so already.
