Bit confused about HRT - had an appt today which didn't help

I'm 50 and I am in (had?) surgical menopause - ovaries gone, uterus still here

The nurse had never heard of that before, and it effects which HRT I have; but she wasn't sure how

I suggested a DEXA scan to check if I am at risk of oestoporosis & she said I didn't need one - I offered to pay privately but she still said no - preventing oestoporsis would be a main reason to take HRT

I got Vagifem which I was thinking about pre-op for bladder/dryness so that's a good start

But I'm now confused - if I'm not currently having symptoms of menopause (hot flushes/night sweats - what else is there?) is there any benefit from having HRT now or should I wait to see if symptoms arrive?

Usually on the graphs, there is one line with a black box showing your total score for spine on one graph and hips on another( hips have 3 or 4 measurements averaged out into one score.)
The black box would be in the green, yellow or red area.

I don't understand- without being able to see the whole doc- why the lines on the graph range from +3 to -3 ( reading left to right.)

Are those lines you readings or is it a demo graph of normal/ low?

Yes, green is good!

I thought the black box was my spine one - i'll try and take other photos/scans tomorrow

From what you have posted, it all looks fine. I'm very small, so the bigger someone is , their bones tend to be heavier and denser anyway, so you may have no risk factors like me ( ie being tiny!)

I'm not big queen I can't wear an adult bangle and joints aside my rings are tiny - DD stopped being able to wear my rings when she was 12

I stated a thread in case we can find a radiographer but anything over 2.5 is dodgy (the other way ifswim)
