It was exactly like that. Pints and pints of iced water. I had a diabetes test to make sure it wasn't that. The menopause symptoms were hideous, night sweats, day sweats, thirst, palpitations, mood swings. Literally a week on HRT and it went away.

Please get yourself tested for diabetes as soon as possible

I second the PP saying you need a blood glucose check for diabetes, OP. Never assume any symptom
is due to the menopause until you’ve excluded more serious possibilities.

Had my bloods checked on Monday for diabetes and my blood sugar is perfect.

Yeah, I had dry mouth, dry eyes, dry everywhere...I was convinced that I had diabetes or a terminal disease. Hrt helped with the symptoms almost immediately.

I’ve developed the excessive dry mouth recently after starting to take a menopause supplement. Clearly i need to stop that to see if it’s the cause. I do have raised blood sugar (but not at diabetes level ). I mentioned the dry mouth to the practice nurse on Friday and she started discussing air conditioning and drinking plenty. Hmm. Because obviously the non existent air conditioning in my house is suddenly an issue. How I stopped myself from rolling my eyes I don’t know.

Yes, for about a year. Not diabetic and started HRT 2 months ago. No change.
