Help please wise meno ladies! Heavy clotty periods on hrt. Normal endometrium thickness

Hi

I’ve been on sequential HRT for a year (periods every month) and now have got really heavy periods. I’m 50.
Really clotty, about 10g per clot. At least 10 clots since yesterday. So big I can feel them coming out. Intense cramping and feeling faint.

Recent uterine scan (three weeks ago) showed normal endometrium thickness.

Anyone have any idea what’s going on?
Has something similar happened to you? Is this normal?
Is it just the full moon? Don’t think I’m ovulating any more.

Would you advise going on continual HRT instead?

TIA ladies.

Bumping for traffic
Any ideas from those on continuous hrt.
When did you decide to change over from sequential?

All I can say is that my periods on HRT are heavier than pre-HRT. I assume it's because for a lot of my life I had lowish estrogen levels, even though a relatively late meno (53-54.)
The amount of blood is related to how much estrogen you are using and how much it is offset by the progestogen each month.
What was your scan result? Obviously if it was 3 weeks ago that would be straight after a bleed so the lining would be thin(ner.)
You might want to try to reduce your dose- ie 2mgs down to 1mg if that's relevant or the Mirena coil plus estrogen.

Thanks @Queenofthenights and @Jenken48

I’m going to see my GP next week. Having said that I had a 2 day period this month, so it could have just all tumbled out at once this time.
Mostly I have longer, lighter ones, so to have an intense, clotty short one caught me on the hop.
