Anyone been to Marion Gluck or similar?

Im on Femoston 1/10 at the moment but getting night sweats after 4 years of taking them without. Do i need to move up to Femoston 2/20 or is is it the testosterone Im missing?

Last time i went to the gp, she said wed have to discuss getting me off it as ‘theres really no point at your age’ ... I’m 50 ... Confused

I’d like to go armed with sufficient amo to fight to stay on it or something similar or if not then i need to take out a bank loan to afford marion gluck treatment.

You’re better off going getting a new GP who’s trained properly in the menopause.
There’s no reason why a woman can’t take hrt for years and years. No need to come off it at all. There used to be a fashion that you took the lowest dose for as little time as possible, but that’s been proved not to be true, or best practice.
Look up menopausematters.co.uk for info.

Maybe get a gynecologist consultation and they’d prescribe pharmaceutical grade bio identical hormones like

Oestrogen —-> oestrogel
And
Progesterone——> utrogestan
And
Testosterone——> testogel

Marian Gluck is a quack. Wouldn’t go near her, she’s not even a medical doctor, just styles herself as one with a PhD. May as well burn your money, and the stuff she sells isn’t even quality controlled... who knows what’s in it. Avoid!

Thanks Dorje. I'll get a gyne consultation.

I've just started on it - bio-identical with testosterone. My doctor is in Harley St - not Gluck, and mine is an actual doctor Wink. I've been taking it for almost two weeks and have noticed a better quality sleep, night sweats are somewhat improved, joint pain massively improved. I'm also taking a lot of supplements - high does Vit D, multi vits, fish oils and iron. It's early days, so I'm suspending disbelief until I'm further down the line.

On the point of how long you can take it, my doc said that all things being equal, there's no reason to ever come off it.

Gluck is a doctor but a GP trained in Germany. She is not however a gynaecologist.

I'd not use her because her fees are huge- higher than most consultant gynaes in Harley St and her HRT is not recognised as being safe, or licensed, in the UK. My understanding from forums and her website is she does lots of unnecessary tests, charges a fortune, and sometimes patients never see her, but one of the team in her practice.

Dorje maybe you are thinking of Marilyn Glenville who is not a medical dr ( has a PhD in psychology) and who peddles the 'natural ' approach to menopause.

It's progesterone you need for sweats I believe.

. Progesterone raises the body temp. Vasomotor symptoms are caused by loss of estrogen.
