Anything help with this? Forgetfulness and short term memory loss - any supplements?

I would also like to know!

It is due to the loss of estrogen and it's impact to the brain receptors. That's why long term estrogen deprivation is related with Alzheimer disease.
The only thing that helps me almost immediately is hrt, medium dose (2mg). I also take magnesium daily.

HRT, also reducing sugar and alcohol intake (voice of doom, sorry)

I don’t take HRT, don’t eat much sugar, do like my wine though. I am indeed doomed.

Brain fog often comes early in perimenopause and it's believed it can due to a decline in progesterone which declines first. t hasn't been proven to have any luck with Alzheimer's in later life so don't panic about that.

Unfortunately the assumption is made that everything is down to oestrogen and HRT will sort everything, when for many this isn't the case.

Mine isn't as bad now I'm further into perimenopause so don't think you're doomed - time will sort it all out :)

I think I am further on than I thought. Nearly 60 days without a period and the flushes have just started. I think I are been in peri for a while but did not realise it.

No Paris, there is a strong correlation between estrogen deprivation and brain function and Alzheimer.
