Peri menopause symptoms but normal hormone levels

Hi I've posted here before but I'm now looking for a bit more info before I see my GP next week. I'm 43 and for the last 3 years have had erratic periods. I've seen my GP twice and she checked hormone levels last year and they were normal. Each time I visited my GP my periods were late by a few months and the GP put this down to me running more than usual or losing weight (I have a lowish BMI). My periods came back each time so I've not been overly concerned.
Anyway I've not had a period now since April but I've also been feeling warm at times, anxious, brain fog and trouble sleeping. While these symptoms are not severe I went back to my GP for the third time and she took blood again. I'm going back for the results soon but wondered what I should do if these results are normal again. Would my GP start HRT if my hormone levels are normal??

I have been the same really, was checked at 48, 49 and this year in January and my levels are still within range and not conclusive. But peri symptoms were always there : hot flushes, night sweats, irregular and missed periods, bad sleep and going to the toilet 3 times a night, anxiety, low mood and feeling overwhelmed, so lady meno put me on HRT 3 months ago on my request, all symptoms have now gone (except for very bad joint and muscle aches).

That's good to know thanks. My worry is the GP puts my lack of periods down to weight loss again and I'm keen for HRT as my menopause seems to be early. That's great HRT is working well for you!

I know weight loss and running too much can suppress your periods , however if you are on the skinny side it is not your fault, in our forties the docs keep telling us to exercise so you are doing the right thing i guess ! Also when you see her you can tell her about the peri symptoms you are experiencing, surely this could lead her to think you might need a course of hrt instead kf focusing on your weight. 43 is the age when we start having 'weird' symptoms and it can last for years like it did for me.
