No bleed on sequential hrt?

I'm on oestrogen transdermal gel plus utrogestan. I was previously on climagest but stopped it- towards the end I had no bleed after the progesterone phase. I had just over a year with no hrt. In that time I had one natural period about 6 months in. So when I started hrt I opted for combi as felt I might still not be quite post meno- I'm 49 btw and been in peri since 44.
The first month I had a light bleed on the oestrogel/ utrogestan. Nothing since- just done 5th cycle.
Is this ok? Should I switch to sequential? The menopause expert said I could use sequential but I don't like taking utrogestan every night as hate having to have an emptying stomach (if I get home from gym late especially).
Any ideas?

Are you a bit muddled up? :)
Sequi means using Utrogestan 10 -12 days a month ( out of 28 days.)
Conti means using it every day.

Dose for sequi is 200mgs x 10-12 days.
Continuous is 100mgs every day.

If you are using it daily you will not have a bleed.
That is the point of continuous- to avoid the bleed.

Also the 'no food' thing is not necessary. my consultant says it makes no difference. The only reason for taking on an empty stomach is that less of it is absorbed- taking with food increases the absorption - so for some women 'with food' may increase some side effects (eg sedation.)

No. I'm using it half the month. Oops. Bad nights sleep!

The title was right but the rest got confused! I like the sedation. It's my favourite thing about utrogestan!

20% of women do not have a bleed on sequi.

Are you using 200mgs?

I wouldn't worry. See how it goes.

200 yes. 20% is quite a lot tbh. It kind of feels like my uterus has just said "all done now" and given up for good. I shall ask when I next see the specialist but that's not till Oct so I thought I'd ask. Thanks.
