don't understand :) why are you not taking premique now?

Abra1d · 29/07/2017 10:48

premique has been deleted aarghhhh

I have had good results with Promensil and a magnet. Not for everyone but I seem to be in a better place with them.

More on Premique being discontinued.

A lot depends on where you are in menopause and how long you think you might want to continue with HRT.
In the long term ( more than for 5 years and if you continue over 60) patches are much safer. Personally I'd never use premique or Premarin as they contain equine estrogens which may not be so safe.

If you really want to carry on with tablets, I've heard that Femoston is good because the type of progestogen in it- dydrogesterone- is very similar to our own so less likely to cause side effects.

My own choice and the choice of my consultant is Oestrogel (for the estrogen part) and Utrogestan (for the progesterone part) each cycle.

It's going to be trial and error really!

Kliovance is the only one that I can take without side effects and I've been taking it for 5 years happily.

If you were taking a continuous/ no bleed type, here is a list from Menopause Matters. Many of the tablets are identical in terms of the type and amount of hormones, they just have different brand names.

Hi, can I ask if anyone is taking Evorel 50? I've been taking it for 2 years after a total hysterectomy and all was good other than sleeping isn't great (seems to go in cycles as per when I had periods) and a little anxiety but these were prior to the op anyway. However I've now started to get spots on my chin and getting slightly hot in the cheeks and wondered if I may need to up the dose. I was hoping that I'd gradually decrease the dose!
