Up to date sources of information

Hi all

Can someone (Polly maybe?) point me in the direction of up to date information on the risks (or otherwise) of HRT in younger women (i.e.under 50s)? I want to go back to my GP armed with some decent research.

There is NO risk for women under 50 on HRT (unless they have a current medical history of breast cancer or stroke) .

The whole 'risk' thing is ridiculous. My consultant sums it up by saying there is risk in using HRT (tiny) and risk in not using it.

Nothing in life is without risk. You risk your life every time you get in a car- 3 people a day die on the roads. Do we all stop driving?

The way to look at risk is what ARE the risks and what are the benefits.

The risks with HRT are tiny. It's time GPs stopped playing God; if you feel you need HRT and have no major risks as you are today, then NICE says it's the woman's choice.
