Femseven Conti patches

Doctor prescribed these for me yesterday.
History: no period for over a year, suddenly having massive amounts of hot flushes, slightly anxious etc. Probably about 20+ flushes a day where I end up drenched in sweat. Gained about 2 stone over last 3 years or so (realise that could just be me and not the menopause!).
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience of these patches? Doctor said sweats should stop within a week. She also said they might help me reduce my weight slightly due to my hormones being more aligned - I am hoping this might happen. Also, although I only stuck the first patch on at lunchtime yesterday, it is already peeling away from the edges and definitely won't remain in place (on upper front thigh) for a week. Can I just replace with a new one when it comes off? Love to hear all the positives about these please. I am hoping for miracles (well to at least go back to how I used to be and not be some anxious sweat drenched mother most of the time).

Hi ladies. I started with the FemSeven Conti on Saturday. Have been post menopausal for nearly 2 years but the hot flushes, dryness and lack of libido were getting me down so decided to bite the bullet and go for the patches. My question is this: I put the patch on my left leg around the top of the thigh but i am getting severe pain in my right thigh - it really hurts to sit down or put pressure on it. It feels like i have been kicked really hard. Has anyone else experienced this? i just want to know if it is down to the patch or may be something else.

hello can anyone help. I am 54 years old and whilst I have had issues with excema all my life I have been able to manage it with diet and moisturisers. In fact being pregnant was the best my skin had ever been. But now as I head into the menopause I am battling with severe falre ups. Can anyone shed any light on if they have had the same and also what treatments worked and if HRT helped at all. I am getting rather desperate with it all as it is having a negative impact on my life and that of my family.

you might be better putting this post as a new topic of your own because no one is going to respond unless it's about femseven patches . Also, try the general health forum:)

Have you seen a dermo and been prescribed treatments that your GP can't offer like Protopic / tacrolimus?
