Do herbal sups really make a difference

Just spent a fortune topping up on meno pace and Angus castus. (3 for 2 at boots) . I'm not sure how much difference they really make or if I'm just desperate to think they are. After trying AC on gps advice for The Rage, I think it's less bad than it was. Night sweats have come back though but how much worse would it be without meno pace?

Also on qlaira to manage cycle....

Very interesting, suestew123. Perhaps this would do the job: www.amazon.co.uk/Natures-Aid-Clover-Complex-Tablets/dp/B004Z64LWS

There is no one-size fits all.
You just gotta try some!
If you read the research- loads online if you google herbal treatment for menopause (and use Google Scholar for the best articles) then you can see the results, which are mixed.
Loads of women on HRT have tried everything and it didn't work (for them.) Other women get by on herbs etc but there is no knowing if this is placebo or if their symptoms would have got better anyway because for many women the worst symptoms go away anyway within a couple of years. Whereas others have much worse symptoms for decades and need something that's proven to work.

For those posters who are asking about herbs, this study done in the UK is worth reading; many of the herbs being discussed on this thread are included.

That person is not a medical doctor by the way. Her PhD is in psychology. Her work and advice is a result of reading and writing books on the topic.

This is an excellent book by a gynaecologist.

I read Marilyn Glenville, and I can't say I got much out of it.
