So I am 40 and perimenapausal.
I am currently taking dixarit from my gp which seems to be helping slightly with the hot flushes.
Over the past week I have developed an itchy breast!!
It is driving me crazy. I could cry because of the constant itch. Just one place on one breast.
The skin isn't dry or anything and I haven't changed washing powder or shower gel.
Any idea what I can do before I itch myself raw?

Hi
Haven't experienced that but both eucerin and sudocreme are good for itching ( I get bitten by insects a LOT) x

Oh thank you, I have some sudocreme in the cupboard.

I had a very itchy patch on my breast and nipple after bruising from a mammogram. It kept coming back in the week before my period for about 6 months and I was going to see the doctor (mammogram fine).

Doctor google just said breast cancer, but one place said mastitis and it did seem to have some familiar feelings that rang a bell. In fact, it was mainly in a patch that used to get blocked. I just used a gentle skin wash, like the ones for eczema, and put on my favourite all round full cup with no seams or pressing anywhere bra for a week or so. It did not come back again.

Also, if there is some irritation in the ducts, ibuprofen may help (not sure if I did this too)
