Does anyone else feel they just can't be bothered?

I think I am in perimenopause as I have lots of symptoms and am going to get GP to give me a blood test. The worst ones are the complete exhaustion and weak legs sometimes I find it hard to move, aches and pains on waking and the low mood, like I say about feeling I can't be bothered. I have stress (teenagers, mum with dementia , not much money) but who doesn't
I have the book for natural treatments, supplements, diet exercise but it seems an effort I read recipes and feel like they are written in a foreign language.
Is it just me?

No it's not just you. I feel exactly the same. Exhausted, low mood, aches and pains. I'm 44. My periods have become quite eratic, used to be like clockwork. My mum had an early menopause age 42/43 and so did my aunt.

Haven't yet been to GP about it but will book an appointment. The lack of motivation and energy is the worst part for me. And the hair loss which is getting scary.

hair loss is a nasty one. I am 48 and also have erratic periods it can't b anything else really. I agree not having the energy or motivation is awful. I don't want HRT so I will have to make the effort to follow the natural plan.

Both of you make sure to get your thyroid checked too. My mum's went around menopause and mine just after ds1 was born, as times of hormonal upheaval are when these things usually start. Hers was written off as 'just one of those things women of that age have to put up with' for months before it was finally diagnosed and mine was dismissed as PND for ages, but the bone-tired, achey, can't be motivated, low mood thing rings a bell for me.

I don't know how much menopause is supposed to affect you like that as well, but it's definitely worth asking if it's something they have tested you for, as well as anaemia and vitamin deficiencies. It's the hardest thing, steeling yourself for a battle with the GP when you feel so low, but if it helps perhaps take someone with you who can help you push for some tests.

Hair loss is another low throw symptom too.
