Started Hrt a month and a half ago and am truly a changed woman. No more anxiety, loads more energy, back to efficient happy me..

I have never have excema in my life and very soon after starting the Hrt I deveopled a nasty patch on my foot which wont go away. Is this my body telling me it doesn't like the hormones ? Has anyone else experienced this ?

No , to answer the question!

Another NO I have used HRT for 4 years no skin issues. Its not a side effect as far as I am aware. Could be the cold weather drying out your skin? I have sore, chapped lips today from the cold.

when you say it won't go away what treatment have you had and are you sure it's eczema?

went to Gp, it's definitely eczema. Just bit wierd as never had it before... maybe coincidence about the HRT then ...

It would be more likely that not taking HRT provoked it! Because in meno your skin dries out, or can get oily for a while, and hormonal changes can be a bit like puberty so some women get adult acne for the first time etc. Have you a history at all of allergies- and is it contact dermatitis- maybe a new washing powder, or something rubbing on your feet? You can get eczema anywhere ( BTW everyone of us in my family has eczema which comes and goes) but it's not that common to have it on your feet and nowhere else- it's more often hands, wrists, crooks of elbow, back of knees, or where clothing rubs.
