Can anyone let me know how you are supposed to apply the gel - I want to check that I am doing it right. I use two pumps but lately as it hasn't been drying I have been spreading over a greater area - I just wondered if I should be doing that. Your thoughts would be appreciated

Bump seeing my GP in the next few days to ask for osetragel would like to know the answer to this too

I apply 1 pump twice a day because I found initially that 2 pumps in the morning made me feel nauseous. I also think that splitting it to 2 applications makes more sense because for me it means I get a dose just before bedtime when my symptoms were worse.
I checked this out with my consultant and he agrees and I think Prof John Studd recommends splitting the dose.
You don't need to apply all of the 2 pumps to the same place though- you can apply to your upper arms and thighs, so there is nothing to stop you applying to both legs and arms.

I have just got my prescription for Ultrogestan and Estrogel. My GP has never prescribed it before. I am right in thinking its Estrogel everyday and Ultrogestan from days 15 to 26 inclusive. Splitting the dose is a good idea.

You use the gel daily- 365 days of the year.
You take Utrogestan as prescribed by your dr. Mine has me on a long cycle for various reasons including long-term safety so I take it for 10 days every 2 months .

This is learning exercise for myself and my GP (he is a colleague of mine too). I want to stick to a month cycle so it seems we are right Ultrogestan from days 15 to 26. Thank you so much that is what we thought.

It doesn't really matter when you take it TBH as long as you take 10 days worth at some point every month, two months or even 3 months to bring on a withdrawal bleed ( with a drs approval). You don't have to stick to taking it from day 15 if the bleed would be inconvenient for any reason - the bleeding starts about 3 days after taking the last tablet. You can shift it around a bit with no ill effects.
eg on a 2-monthly cycle, you could take it ( just as an example) from Jan 1-10, then March 1-10 but if necessary to delay the bleed for a few days could start on Jan 4th etc etc. But- do what you are happiest with!

This sounds brilliant just what I want :) I am sensitive to progesterone have been on Femston which has the kindest progesterone. We thought bioidentical HRT may solve my problems. For reasons I can't go into I do not want patches hence the estrogel. I like being able to delay a period sounds fantastic. Thank so much this what I needed to know.
