Hello there all you fine clever ladies
I am 49 and 50 in November. I am in otherwise good health bar needing a mild dose of antidepressant for my tendency to get anxious and depressed which is invariably sufficient.
However the past 3 years I have been increasingly more anxious which I put down to hormonal changes and not the actual tablets being a problem. I sometimes really panic and it takes over me a fair bit.
I have booked to see the lady GP who I get on quite well with but you know what they can be like i.e. standoffish and dismissive - I wish to ask if I could get hormonal tablets of some time to helps things settle down.
Does anybody know or have experience of this? My periods are either 3 weeks 4 weeks or 3 and a half weeks they change fairly often. I may have two regular cycles then a strange early one.
Is there a tablet that anybody knows of i.e. a particular brand or brands that people swear by that helped them ?
It isn't a panic attack as such although I nearly had today talking to O2 as I have probs with my SIM at the moment.
I live alone with my 8 year old son no family support and my ex although he sees our son he lives 100 miles away in London and I live in Derbyshire these days. My money is quite tight like many of us these days and I live with a fair bit of stress I guess. However it isn't atrocious stress just usual rigours of being a single parent alone.
Any thoughts please? It would be most appreciated! I really don't think it is counselling related but tablet need.....
