Im 46 and periods pretty regular apart from one a week early. Have no other symptoms except mood ones and not sure if that is due to stress of job hunting.

But my skin is a nightmare. Have always been a bit spotty but now it's like acne. Pustules everywhere at random times of the month. But to top it all it's really dry too. Have no idea what to do. Would that oil cleansing method help? I can't afford expensive products.

I have had similar skin problems, have resorted to using Liz Earle superskin moisturiser. Its really helped regulate my skin. My father who's a retired GP suggested buying Vit E capsules and popping them open and using the oil at night on my face and neck as a moisturiser to regulate the oil production.

Thanks. Two of my friends love Liz Earle. I think my mum used to do that with the capsules. Its funny how you forget stuff (another menopause symptom perhaps, everything seems to be!)

you really need to see your GP nad possibly a dermatologist. There is no point really in faffing around with cosmetic products- you might need topical anti biotic lotions, oral ABs, or evern Roaccutane. My DD had acne which the dermo said was hormonal, and the only thing that helped was all of the above- otherwise the dermo said she'd have it till menopause!

I did mention it to my GP when I went in for something else, she wasn't very interested. I did take oral anti biotics for my spots about 15 years ago.

GP -and ask for a referral to a Dermatologist.

It is clearly hormonal - and cosmetic products will have limited results.

Well MAKE her interested! it's your body so push for some help. Grrrrrrrrr!
