Hi, just after a bit of info regarding the menopause. I am 48 and not had a period since June last year. I was always very regular until 2 years ago then periods ranged from being early, heavier and more recently skipping a month. But since June - nothing and I am shocked. I thought it would be more random than this e.g.: skip a month, then ok etc but to just stop altogether??. My other question is :can you still have PMS symptoms - lethargy, coldness, low mood even though you have no period? I was beginning to think how lucky I have been to gert rid of PMS but this last few days I have felt low, tired etc just like my old PMS symptoms. I was thinking this to myself when OH mentioned the same thing. If so, is there any kind of tracking system of symptoms so I can log them and be forewarned if you like?

I had 2 false starts with my menopause - after similar to what you had ie one two miss a few - some early, some heavy, some a mere trickle - then aged 50 'I went 9 months and was looking forward to my 1 year sticker ie no need for contraception when low and behold 2 on the trot! Then 8 months with none then another one! I'm now 16 months with nothing so class myself finally over hill so to speak!! So you might not be quite finished yet!!!

OP, your story is exactly the same as mine (spooky! Smile) except I am 51. I have been wondering exactly the same thing and have decided to make cryptic notes in my diary to see if there is any pattern.

Ah well, seems it may not be the easy run I was hoping for then? So frustrating to think that this may be it - and wham out of the blue another period. I def think symptom / note taking is the answer. Can anyone reccommend any good books on the subject?
