No, not breast feeding any more

Cadbury · 29/03/2005 11:42

Not sure then. Maybe ask your health visitor? It isn't definite I can go yet you don't not go on my account, if you see what I mean. I just don't know if dd might be infectious by then!

What about you Keane? Yours have had it haven't they?

Dingle?
Pink Webby?
Rickman?
Grumpy Frumpy?

Keane · 29/03/2005 12:14

Cadders! I am still planning on coming along. But as time goes on it just seems more and more likely not to happen. Just paid out £150 on new tyres for my car, so money isn't exactly flowing freely IYSWIM!
On top of that ds has had a funny tummy for a few days now, he seems alright in himself apart from a cough and runny nose. I haven't even allowed him to have any Easter eggs yet!
WE did have to have a little giggle to ourselves on Saturday night, ds had been up several times in a dash to the toilet, and when climbing his ladder to get back into bed, he had a tiny, little accident. We got him cleaned up and changed but he was really concerned about getting back up in his bed, so we set up camp for him under his cabin type bed. We thought he was settled, we were back in bed, heard him rush to the loo again, muttering to himself, " I'd better sleep in the toilettonight mummy, just in case!"!
Today, dd's nose is all grotty and she is coughing like a good 'un! Just waiting for the grotty nappies now! Oh joy!

Cadbury · 29/03/2005 18:53

Have they had chicken pox Dingle?

Hope the tummy bug has gone completely soon. Bless him, they can be so sanguine about things and their grand age can't they

Had your dd got it yet? It's "nice" IYSWIM, to get it over and donw eith in one bout!

Getting quite concerned about ds, he still had to rush to the toilet today! He's been like it since Saturday night!! I suppose it's just taking time to get through his system, and if it's connected to his cold like symptoms-he is still full of cold too!
I am really trying to help by controlling his diet, but he is DESPERATE to have an Easter Egg!

Dingle · 30/03/2005 09:25

Oh yes, Cadders, they both had it ages ago.

Last Jan, ds came down with mild measles too! It was his first full week of school he missed out on!

Cadbury · 30/03/2005 10:03

Grumpy Frumpy - oh the poor love. Yes it sounds like it.

Dingle - DD hasn't had it, that's what we are waiting for. Ds is not contageous anymore and the spots are all disappearing, it's just whether dd will come down with it a couple of days after the meet-up and therefore have been infectious at the meet-up.

So now, we just need to know if Pink Webby's lot have had it (and indeed that they are definitely still coming - haven't seen her around for a while) and weather Rickman (is coming) and her lot have had it.

Obviously, if dd gets it betwen now and then, we won't be there at all but if there is no sign, I would love to be there.

Oh dear, this is getting complicated !

Sorry, Aero and her brood have been here distracting me from mumsnet for a few hours

Rickman - ds came down with it a week ago on monday. dd could have caught it from the same source and at the same time and so could be infectious at anytime. If she didn't get it from the same source as ds, she will have got it from at least 2 other children at preschool 3 days before ds came down with it, and if not from them, then from ds himself when he became infectious. Either way, I expect her to come down with it any time from now until the 8th or so of April

So, whilst it is possible that dd won't be infectious on Friday, I don't want to chance it if there is even an outside possiblity that she might put your little one at risk

Have a lovely time

I might come now, even if you decide to go Cadders. My DS is 10 weeks old so i asked the health visitor and she said its absolutly fine if he gets it at this age... just give him a bit of Calpol and the sooner he geta it out the way the better!

Dingle · 30/03/2005 19:10

I can't guarantee we'll make it. DS has been poorly again today! I did let his have a bit of Easter Egg though! I do hope I won't be regretting that tomorrow!

Just given dd a dose of calpol and put her to bed, she is absolutely full of cold today and has gone right off her food! Been stuck at home for days now!

Cadbury · 30/03/2005 19:12

Oh poor things Dingle! Why is it always the holidays when they get these things?
