I don't live far from Ely, do you want to say a bit about yourself? If you have a look at my profile you can see a bit about me (but don't let all the religious stuff put you off!)

Hi MaryBS Sounds interesting training to be a lay Minister .. Are you fully trained now ( as you joined mumsnet in 05) or currently training ?
Not too sure what this actually involves?
I am a full time mum ( well i have just started one day at a local supermarket) which is great to get out for a while . I have 2 children 3 yrs & 20mths which has been an interesting journey but love it .. Not been a member for long so still trying to find my way around the site & understand the terminology used .. some interesting debates on here !

Hi,
I'm a bit further out (between Camb and Ely, but in the area). I have 2 ds's 5y and 21mo. I work part time in Cambridge.

I live in Suffolk but in Cambridge most days at the moment.

I'm still training - I'm due to finish about April 2009, with licensing in October 2009. Its partly "on the job", and partly modular study. I'm about to finish church history and move on the the "preaching and communications" module. I have training days in Ely. I try not to think too hard about what it involves , as when I started, 2009 seemed such a long way away!

I also work part time in Cambridge.

There's a LOT going on on Mumsnet, but if you were to get involved in everything, it'd be a full-time occupation!

Sounds like you are very busy .. I am currently doing a homebased child care course which is only for another couple of weeks and i find it hard to juggle everything.. I do like to take a look at the discussions some off them can get very heated .. but also some very good advice from people which is good that you can ask something without the judgement . Nice to talk to you all .

I've got an essay I'm hoping to finish this week, as a week on Sunday I'm preaching at the Sunday service!

I try and do everything once the children are in bed, otherwise its not fair on them....

So, are you going to be a childminder?

Phonicsangel · 21/11/2007 21:10

Best of luck for Sunday ! Is this the first time ? Hopefully , you manage to finish your essay .. Do your Children settle at night to let you get on with things that you need to do ? I get a few hours on my own before my son wakes & then I'm up and down. Joys of motherhood .

Hopefully , i can advertise from March next year as a registered childminder ! I don't want to have lots of Children but would like a baby & a child after school! Wanted to do something so i can earn a few pennies & still be able to look after my children & enjoy being a mum so thought i would see how things go . Depends who calls once i'm registered .
