I'm back at the start of February & I'm already dreading it...determined to 'see off' my form as they're Year 11 now & I've had them since Year 7, which is the positive thing I keep hold of when I want to ring up & tell them to expect me when ds starts school...

iddy · 12/10/2004 21:58

I do not envy you what so ever!!! Handed my notice b4 the summer hols! The school I worked for is fantastic but really hardgoing. Life is bliss without planning, displays, naughty children etc, etc. Will probably supply or work P/T next year.I know how you are feeling YG!

Hulababy · 12/10/2004 22:00

I'm secondary. Only do 2 days a week at school now, and one day teaching in prison. School is much tougher!

iddy · 12/10/2004 22:01

LOL CarrieG!!! I like teachers who swear!!!
My voice was the only one you could hear swearing in the corridors at 7.30 in the morning with the radio blaring out!!!!

Yorkiegirl
My cheque in the post box now with first class stamp. Sorry for delay - you should get it tomorrow.
Thanks for organising all this. By the way, will there be anybody there who isn't a teacher? Other than me that is. Will have to be on my best behaviour and make sure I leave every plate clean (with my appetite not a problem ....)

I'm not a teacher jamiesam

jamiesam · 14/10/2004 14:00

Phew. Just enough teachers to keep us in check and organise the party games then (or is that just the teachers I know)

Yes, I'd love to come to the kids do - must visit the thread and find out where it's at - thought the trail had gone a bit quiet recently.
Roisin - YG helpfully provided reasonably comprehensive list of non-teachers. Question is, do we admit what we do do (rather too many do's in that sentence for my liking)- I'm a mindless bureaucrat myself you see....

I tend to call myself a SAHM, but technically I'm not! Was SAHM for 6 yrs, but do actually get paid (a bit) now ... I work 12 hrs pw for an IFA.

CookieMonster · 14/10/2004 14:13

jamiesam, I am definitely not a teacher - I have an exceedingly boring job in IT Technical Support (well it's boring most of the time, but when something goes wrong it can be manic!)
