Hey gals,
I was speaking to an Aussie friend of mine who lives in Richmond and although she's not an MNer (yet) was wondering if she could crash the party too?

xoxo · 12/06/2007 08:30

Carloony
I'm not going but the general rule for the nights/ days out is the more the merrier. Just warn your friend that Ele is likley to lead her astray

Eleusis · 12/06/2007 13:55

Of course! She can be Quokka's replacement. (just kidding Quokka)

Oh, and damn damn damn! I hate when I suddenly remember I forgot to tell DH I'm going out. How am I going to get this one through????

pretend you did tell him and sigh at him when he's forgotten

Eleusis · 12/06/2007 13:59

OMG, we have the conversation every day -- when it's true. The conversationends with me saying "just because you forgot or never listened in the first place doesn't mean the conversation never took place"

However, on this one, I do believe I'm guilty.

But, the good news is I do have prior approval for Thursday night pizza and blender pick up.

I distinctly see I used the word "tell".

I have now sent him an e-mail, I will wait one day for a response. Seems ample time in my opinion.

OP posts:
Kewcumber · 12/06/2007 16:10

so you have clearnace for Thursday AND Friday???

You obviously don;t want Pizza two nights running... can I interest you in fish and chips

Eleusis · 12/06/2007 16:15

Sure. If it has no skin, no bones, and is not smoked.

OP posts:
Kewcumber · 12/06/2007 16:22

thats not a fish - thats a sausage!

Kewcumber · 12/06/2007 16:23

any other suggestions then? M&S DIY stuff? I could pick some up after picking up DS.

Eleusis · 12/06/2007 16:31

DIY? Am I coming over to work?

I'm not fussy (apart from skin and bones in my fish). Happy to do stir fry, pasta, salad, Indian, Thai, whatever you fancy. We could be lazy and order in or M&S probably is nicer food.

Only things I don't really like are peppers (unless they are nice and piping hot spicy) and sweet and sour sauce.

OP posts:
Kewcumber · 12/06/2007 16:35

how about pasta and I'll just do a tomato sauce. I've try to remember to pick up some parmesan on the way home.

Eleusis · 12/06/2007 18:12

pasta sounds yummy. I can bring some ingredients for naughty cheesy garlib bread. Maybe if I eat lots and lots, DH will stay on his half of the bed. he he he

Well I am now on my own on Friday night. As dh is going out in London it has been decided (not by me although it works better in the long run) that he will stay with IL's and they will all drive up on Saturday morning. The good point is I don't have to entertain the IL's, the bad is
(a) no chance of coming out with you lot as no IL's to babysit and the girl we have locally is busy, and (b) I have to organise a 3 course meal for 14 for the Saturday lunch time solo whilst looking after the children, for father's day.

Kewcumber · 12/06/2007 19:44

yes please Ele - I am a great afficionado of cheesy garlic bread.

DS is driving me nuts - going through a very clingy phase, cries if he can't see me and can't be put down to sleep unless he's virtually unconscious. Well he can, but I'm having to put up with indignant squawking as we speak coming form the other room [weary emoticon]

CountessDracula · 12/06/2007 19:45

I have to go to the sodding Elbow Room in islington and play pool and eat shite

Kewcumber · 12/06/2007 19:49

Ele - your DH exects you to share a bed. Now you see thats the problem with DH/DP's they make these unreasonable demands.

Eleusis · 12/06/2007 20:26

Look here CD, this routine of always coming on here and moaning about how you can't make it is getting old. Go play with your new work colleagues, and then meet up with us. We are way more fun, and the travel home from Richmond is very short (for you).

COV, it does seem your DH always get priority when he wants to go play. You must reign him in now and then and remind hin you too have a social alife -- or at least you would if you weren't always taking a back seat to his.

Ok, I'm awfully bossy tonight. Should probably shut up -- yeah, like that'll ever happen.
