Hi,

I have a baby girl, she is almost 5 weeks old now, would love to chat, and perhaps meet up - feeling all at sea with a new baby.

Sorry to Hijack the thread. But lived in Rugby all my life and went to school there. Moved on since. Welcome to Mumsnet by the way. There are some other Mnetters who live locally and I know of one in Kenilworth area. So hopefully she'll she this too.

hi girls, well this is the first time i have used mumsnet so bit confused how it all works! i've lived in rugby for 4 years, from liverpool originally so am a long way from my northern roots!!

my daughter is 5 weeks old, and has colic and crys all day long from 10am - 10pm, the olny thing which seems to help is carring her in a baby carrier - so my back is wrecked!!

does any one know of any baby or new mums groups in or around the area??

S.

hi sarah, that must be trying for you having a lo with colic. My son had a bout of it and I put him on Dr Browns bottles and i never looked backed. They are great. Have you tried them? They are not cheap, £10 for two bottles but well worth it. With regards to baby groups I only really no of one and that is the parent centre down claremont road, they do loads of things through out the week for lo;s.xxxx

I am breast feeding, but we do give her one bottle a night to give me a break and we have one of those Dr Browns bottles, also recommended by a friend, and it is excellent for reducing the wind, and also she doesnt guzzle it as much as from other kinds of bottles - so that is something!

Now that your son is 13 months, have you gone back to work or are you at home?

Never thought to ask about BF! Hope it improves for you soon. I went back to work 2nd october, just 15 hours a week, new job, didnt go back to my old employees, they moved their office to london so i took redundancy. Are you going back full time?x
