Yes. The first stop on Upper Parliament Street just opposite Starbucks (Rainbow 1) drops off just across the road from Ikea. You can't miss it, it's the big blue building which has 'IKEA' on the front in huge, yellow letters. Grin I catch this bus, you may see me on there.

Ok. I shall be brave.

I have two children, aged 7 and 10. I do like other people's toddlers though. And mothers need other mothers.

Mine's 14 and I still have no idea what the hell I'm doing. I quite like little kids; I trained as a children's nurse for a while and I have a full CRB certificate. Grin I only like them when you can hand them back when they start to smell or sob though.

You'll be most welcome, colditz. Brew

Free tea and coffee all day with your Family card. Wink

I'm liking the idea of a morning with people who like little kids, I'm still completely bewildered by this little person living in my house!

Little children are funny. They come out with the most inappropriate things! Grin

There's a soft play area if you need it. Free tea and coffee with your card and the nice lady is going to let us have an area with comfy seats and cushions so we can veg out. You may have to remind me that I have a boy to collect from school when it hits 3pm though. Grin

Well Ds mostly says 'book', 'dog', 'ta' and 'no' at the moment but he does use them with brilliant comic timing to cause maximum embarrassment :) I will look forward to it.

Ds used to point at people and announce 'dirty'. Blush

I'll give it a few days to see who else wants to come. Does after the bank holiday sound OK? Tuesdays?

I work different days every week so I'll check when I'm next in work but I can normally swap easily enough. I'm on holiday from 3rd -17th June though so I'll be soaking up dome sun instead :)

Can I come if I can get there? I am East Midlands, but in Rutland. However I wouldn't know till the day if I could come due to my stupid back/pelvis and now my silly numb leg.

Of course you can. Smile We'll keep our fingers crossed but remember that your health is more important than a meet up. If you can't make this one there will be others.

Wow, we seem to have a meet up Grin If its Tuesday 28th you're thinking of I can definitely make it as I'm only working 2 days that week. If anyone is going from Mansfield area or anyway on the way I'm happy to pick up as long as you don't mind car sharing an old banger with a 13mo who really doesn't like travelling.

peach I think this is an ideal opportunity to get some experience looking after an older baby. I will, of course, be happy to mind your scrummy 2 week old in return Wink

Thank you Lady Smile

English I have a 10 year old too Grin but you're welcome to the chubby scrummy one if it means I can take him off my shoulder for 10 minutes!

Quite excited to find out there is a bus to Ikea I've never been before. I'm pretty much free anytime.

EnglishGirlApproximately · 13/05/2013 13:16

I was just looking for excuses to cuddle a newborn Blush Ds doesn't really do cuddles any more as that would involve sitting still for more than 2 seconds.

The Rainbow 1 goes from opposite Starbucks on Upper Parliament Street and drops off opposite IKEA.

That week will be half term. I know they are busy on the bank holiday Monday so I'll have to ask if the Tuesday will be OK. I'll bring ds with me; he's a grumpy teen. Grin

Hi am up for meeting up too, though can only do Mondays and Tuesdays as at work the other days. Am in Mapperley in Nottingham so can easily get to IKEA. If in half term will have to bring dd (5) and ds (3); if not in half term will just bring the little one. They're both usually partial to an IKEA lunch.

Report
Arion · 14/05/2013 21:40

1/2 term is usually busy in Ikea. If we meet up on 28th I'll bring DD as well, in term time it'll just be me and DS. We all like Ikea meatballs though! Grin

They haven't got back to me yet. Sad I'll give it a couple of days.
